Manovikas Special School was established in 2001 under the aegis of Bastar Divyang Seva Samiti to provide specialized education and rehabilitation services to children with diverse disabilities. The school serves children with intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, autism, multiple disabilities, hearing impairment, and visual impairment (with hostel facilities for the latter two categories).
The institution follows a structured curriculum based on Functional Academic Curriculum Planning (FACP) and emphasizes holistic development — academic, social, emotional, and vocational. Classrooms are organized based on age and cognitive ability, ensuring individualized learning support.

Manovikas Special School remains a cornerstone of BDSS’s commitment to inclusive and quality special education in Bastar.
